Abstract: This paper presents two charts that can be used by coaches to check on the development of their athletes. The first chart, lists equivalent training times at distances of 30m (blocked start and flying start), 60m (blocked start), 150m and 250m (both standing starts) and competition performances times for 560m, 100m, and 200m. These times can be used to determine the weaknesses and areas where training should be focused for athletes of in a wide range of abilities. The second chart lists the distances that can be expected for the standing long jump, 3 bounds, 5 bounds, 10 bounds, and the height for the jump and reach based on competition performance time in the 100 meter dash. The paper was originally published on DrTrack.com in December 2001. It was transferred to and republished by Glass Dragon Digital Publishing in February 2007. | ||
