The Science of Hurdling and Speed, Hurdling into the 21st Century. Fourth Edition by Brent McFarlane, Canada's 2000 Olympic coach

Published in late 2000, this book is truly amazing. It offers over 300 pages of the latest information and techniques in training for the hurdles (and sprints). Written in a very easy to under stand style, it also presents the science behind energy system training for the hurdles (and sprints). This book provides hundreds of drills, circuits, and training sessions that can be used with your athletes.

This is the best book on track and field that I have ever read, and I have read practically every book that has been available in the United States since the late 1960s.

306 pages. 2000. ISBN 0-919375-48-0.
